FAQs

Do you just photograph pets?

Yes! Star Paws specialises in pet photography, so you won't find me photographing weddings, children, families or food under another business name. I prefer to do what I love and know I'm really, really good at (or so I'm told!). But...

...that doesn't mean you can't be in some photos with your pet too - in fact I encourage you to. That special bond you have with your pet deserves to be captured, don't you think?

What sort of pets do you photograph?

Anything and everything!

From dogs and cats to rabbits and rats, horses, hamsters, and everything in between.

Whatever kind of pet you have, I'd love to take some amazing photographs for you, so please get in touch and tell me all about your best friends!

What will happen at the portrait session?

We will have already had a chat or email exchange about your pet and the session, but we'll go over things again when we meet.

I'll give your pet all the time they need to check me out and make friends before I go anywhere near my camera. I've got a lot of experience with shy and nervous pets, and would never rush or stress them.

Once we've all got to know each other, the fun begins and I can start capturing some fantastic images for you!

How long will the portrait session take?

Each one is different, and the length of time I spend with you and your pet can vary for all sorts of reasons.

You can rest assured though that I never rush through a shoot because I need to be elsewhere, and I don't watch the clock while I'm working.

To give you a rough idea, the average session probably takes around 60-90 minutes, but that's not set in stone by any means.

How do I book?

You can complete the Contact Form, send me an email, give me a call/text on 07828 081166 or go to the Book Me page and choose your preferred date there.

?Easy!

How do I get to see the photos after the session?

You have a couple of options. We can either book a viewing appointment, when I'll come back to visit with my laptop and show you the finished portraits, or if you prefer, you can just view the photographs online yourself.

The advantage of having me come to you is that I can help with image choices and advise on product selection in order to present your pet portraits in the best way for your space.

If you already know exactly what you want, however, then the online gallery might be the way to go.

I have a question not listed here!

No problem, just contact me and ask away!
